Sleep Away; Belly Fat
Sleep That Fat Away!
Let’s take a break from our normal discussion to talk about sleep.Getting enough good quality sleep is an elusive goal of many fitness buffs.
You’re body can get leaner as you sleep if you get the right amount of quality sleep time because of the effect on your hormones and metabolism. If you are not getting good amounts of healthy sleep, you could actually be putting on weight!
Although sleep disorders can play a part, the biggest reason people don’t sleep enough is because their minds won’t shut down. You lose a lot from lying in bed thinking about your day and about the problems you might have.If you have a problem with sleeping, here’s a few tips that might help you out:
1. Don’t exercise close to bed time.Use exercise to your advantage by working out at other times of the day.
2. Eating before going to bed won’t make you fat, contrary to popular belief. Be sure to choose healthy foods to eat.
Taking in a snack will satisfy your hunger: just keep it in the 90 calorie range.
3. Limit caffeine intake to mornings and afternoons.
4.Mint or chamomile tea will help you relax, so drink some about an hour before you retire. You will appreciate it’s calming effect. There’s a product called “bedtime tea” that has chamomile and mint tea in the same tea bag that seems to promote relaxation.
5. Nutmeg is also good to take before you go to sleep. You’ll get antioxidants and a calming effect from this. You can grind it onto food or create your own capsules.
6. Wipe your mind clean. This is one of the hardest things to do.You can try downloading your thoughts and feelings by writing them down on paper before you try sleeping. This can help stop those thoughts that won’t go away.
Visualizing yourself in a relaxing, pleasant setting is also helpful. If you can get your mind of troubling things, you’ll be able to sleep much better.
There are a lot of other great ideas that help people sleep better.Just stay with natural options that don’t have the side effects that sleep drugs have.
