Because we decide this, then we also control it.
Many people have told us about the dangers of obesity in various forms of media. If a person is overweight they put themselves at risk for many ailments that include high blood pressure, diabetes, and muscle and joint pain. It is possible to reverse the detrimental effects of being overweight. When a person decides that they are the ones who can lose the weight, the problems of being overweight can vanish. No one has the same reason that they are overweight and why they want to lose the weight is also different. One person might decide to get healthy for their family. But the why must be important enough that it will keep you heading towards the healthy lifestyle you desire. Without the strong desire to succeed, you are doomed to fail before you start. When you have a great reason to succeed then you are less likely to quit a program before you start.
After finding a good reason, decide what it is you want to accomplish By setting goals, it gives you something to strive for and it helps to know whether you should stop or continue on your weight loss journey. If you haven’t reached you goals, then it is not time to quit yet. It is possible to set a final weight and time frame and break that down to smaller increments of weight loss over less time How much weight you want to lose is up to you to decide. Your motivation is for you only as is you goals. The important thing to do is to choose something that works with how you live. You figured out why and how much weight you want to lose based upon yourself and the way you do it is your choice too. Just because it worked for another person does not guarantee you success.
When a person decides that they want to change their body, it is an individual decision. Although the choice to lose weight will be felt by others, it is up to the person who is overweight to make that choice.
