If I Didn’t Lose The Weight I Would Die
(There was no doubt about it.~I couldn’t deny it any longer~It was a fact that was very obvious.} My body was sick. My health was being affected because of my large stomach that seemed to keep growing. My doctor diagnosed me with several different maladies. The fact that was obese was at the bottom of the problems. To put it simply I was eating myself to death.
I could look in the mirror and see the problem. But what was I going to do to fix it? I needed to lose the weight quickly, but I knew that would be hard since it didn’t appear overnight. I was lost and didn’t know where to turn when I went searching on the internet and found something called the biggest loser forum, where there were chat rooms full of people who were fighting a weight loss battle of their own. I was given a list of ideas from others who faced similar problems along with some links to even more information. I was able to discover some helpful websites in my quest to regain my health. Once I had decided that it was either now or never to get healthy, I was ready for the next step.
The first thing I did was to go to my doctor. My physician agreed with the idea to get healthy and helped me develop my plan. The main thing was that he agreed that I should do something about it. The first approach that I was going to take was the oldest one out there, control what I eat and start a workout plan to use more energy than I took in. I stuck to the diet despite my cravings for all the foods that I was not allowed to eat any more, and I did my exercises faithfully every day, even the six pack ab exercises, that were on the video I had found in the attic. Despite my efforts, I was not making progress. After six months I had not lost a significant amount of weight and I was getting discouraged. I was looking for a plan that would work, but I didn’t know where to turn to find one.
I went back to my doctor and told him it was time for me to find a way to learn how to lose weight fast, and what would he suggest that I try next to accomplish this goal since I had run out of ideas. I went back to my physician to see what he could suggest for me to try. The plan was for me to have a stomach stapling procedure. The smaller stomach meant I would consume less food at one time but would eat more often. I knew that this type of drastic measure was filled with peril. But I knew that I could not sit back any longer and ignore the problem that I had. Delaying taking action was no longer an option that I could consider because of my poor health. I took this information back to my family and we decided that I would go head with the surgery.
The morning of the surgery came and I was wheeled into the operating room. The surgery went fine and I came out of it later that day. I got stronger each day after the surgery and looked forward to the next step. During that time I could hardly eat anything. I started a fitness regimen as soon as I felt strong enough to do it. There was no stopping me this time. It was successful this time. I was watching the fat melt off of my body. Twelve months after the operation my weight loss surpassed the century mark. After twenty four months, my weight had gone down over one hundred percent. My doctor says I am no longer considered obese, I am just overweight. I decreased the amount of medication that I had to take just to take care of the problems that had been caused by my weight. I still exercise everyday and now my family joins in with me. If I hadn’t done this, I would have died, but now I wake up each morning and enjoy the new day.
