Does ‘Crowdedness’ Influence Your Psychology? The Truth Will Probably Shock You
Strengtheningmental health is a massive industry. Simply do a easy Google search and you will realize literally millions of results. But did you know that the science behind modern neurology is quite recent? Like a hundred years young? And that is not even taking into account the recent discovery of neuroplasticity (your brain’s capacity to modify) - a discovery that altered what how scientists see the brain and the birth of brain exercises and memory exercises.
In this article, I want to reveal 2 things that many folks fail to do when it comes to keeping up and enhancing their mental health. Since the science is so new, do not be shocked if even experts missed these. Here goes.
1. You might already know that brain exercises would enhance brain functions. That is because when approached by a challenge, your brain alters and become better, much like your muscles. But did you know that there’s a crucial elements that scientists took for granted? When challenges were presented to 2 groups of mouse - one in a group with normal social interaction and the other batch in seclusion, the end results were totally unalike. The mouse in groups have more neurons - as expected - however the brains of the rats in seclusion actually wasted away! That’s right, brain exercises could boost your mental health, but this is true only supposing that you have usual social interaction.
2. You might not know this but open space has an extensive effect on your psychology. A research was once conducted by John B. Calhoun, again on mouse. When space was sufficient, the mouse behaved as expected in a perfect universe he put them in. But as they breed and space became insufficient, he observed erratic transformation in the rat’s behavior. Girls hold off to reproduce and became more hostile while males became alienated and ceased courtship. Unsocial restriction has much been adopted as a torture device therefore do not use it on yourself. Go out to an open space, preferably out of town, at worst once a week. You will enjoy the experience.
