How to Stop Procrastinating
You often do the things which you don’t want to do in your life but you have to do. To get rid of the procrastinating habit, you should apply some methods which help you to overcome this habit.
By defninition, procrasitnation means that though you have something that you NEED to do, you continue to put it off over and over again in favor of things you WANT to do. Ultimately, this is not a good strategy for life since it leads to tension and possibly depression as the deadline of your project draws closer.
One method that is easy to adopt is to write down the reasons for procrastinating because when you write down your own feelings and thoughts you can better judge analyze where the problem is stemming from. And, if you find that these reasons are related to your health then you should immediately consult the doctor so you can be back on the path to recovery faster.
It’s very important to find out the basic reasons of this habit and make an action plan on it as soon as possible to achieve your goals. Once you have defined your goal, you have to be confident about those goals so you can get a step closer toward eradicating your procrastinating habit. For this purpose you can assign yourself tasks which you have to complete in the limited time period, like giving your task a five minute deadline and working it through to completion.
